UTC approaches education and professional development with a combination of academic courses and practical hands-on training, thereby preparing students to immediately enter the workforce or attain a desired promotion. Students learn not only the practical aspects of particular jobs but also the importance of good work habits, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Basic academic courses are offered in algebra II, conceptual mathematics, applied geometry, trigonometry, and English. Specific areas of study are divided into disciplinary clusters.

Engineering and technical programs of study comprise a majority of academic and career interests at UTC. Students can pursue certificates and degrees in the following areas:

    Students interested in Graphic Communications (printing) will benefit immensely from this program. The program encompasses all major aspects of printing, such as copy preparation, computer layout and typesetting, plate making skills, press operation, and even sales and management skills.

    Health Science Education Cluster

    Several programs at the school cater to students with diverse educational backgrounds. The Practical Nursing program is geared toward post-secondary students who have an interest in bedside nursing care. Health Occupations Science Technology and Medical Assisting are intended for newcomers to the healthcare field, whether they are recent high school graduates are adults looking for a new career direction.
