Academics
Anthem College – Irving is part of the Anthem Education Group. The school focuses on precisely what a student will need to enter a career in Healthcare or Technology, rather than prolonging an education with less essential materials. This group of schools works closely with working professionals to learn what they expect their employees to be able to know, and in turn help produce the curriculum that trains their future workforce.
Courses of study include the Dental Assistant program, in which students become acquainted with all of the skills necessary to help a dentist perform an excellent procedure, from prepping patients to administrative duties; the Massage Therapy program, in which students of an athletic bent who have a taste in biology and chemistry can hone their skills to provide relief for aching patients; the Medical Assistant program, in which students get used to the fast-paced and multi-faceted job of working in a doctor’s office or hospital; the Medical Front Office and Billing program, which prepares students for the administrative work of a medical business rather than for patient interaction; the Pharmacy Technician program, in which students learn how to assist a Pharmacist throughout the entire roster of duties; the Health Services Administration program which focuses on medical records, billing, and insurance along with giving students a background in healthcare laws and regulations; the Patient Care Technician program teaches Occupational Therapy, Radiology, and Respiratory and Geriatric skills in order to train students to provide the best possible care for their patients; the Computer Network Technician program prepares students to operate computer networks and how to maintain and upgrade business systems; and finally the Information Technology program shows students how to design business computer networks along with maintaining the entire infrastructure.
