Southwest University is an accredited distance learning university and offers associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in a host of professional fields including criminal justice, organizational management and business administration.
The Criminal Justice Program at Southwest is a 60 semester hour program with classes in police operations, victimology and forensic science. Transfer students should take note that Southwest requires at least half of the classes to be completed at Southwest.
Southwest University’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a concentration in marketing is a 120 semester hour course that offers classes in accounting, global marketing and public speaking. Upon completion, students who wish to continue their business studies may enroll in the school’s graduate degree program.
Southwest also offers a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in leadership and management. The program is 120 semester hours and offers classes in management, human relations at work and building customer service. There is also an associate’s degree in business that is 60 semester hours.
Along the same lines, Southwest offers a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Human Resource Management. The degree is also 120 semester hours long and offers courses in basic communication technologies and human relations at work.
The Masters of Arts in Organizational Management offers courses in human resource strategic issues, management in the 21st century and human relations.
Southwest University presents its classes with a textbook and study guide to optimize the distance learning education model. Southwest University will also provide a free evaluation for any of the degree programs students may choose.
Southwest University is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council and is licensed as an institution of higher learning by the State of Louisiana Board of Regents.
