The Tinley Park location offers twelve undergraduate programs, including Business Administration, Computer Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Network Systems Administration, and Web Graphic Design. It also offers seven graduate degree programs: Accounting and Financial Management, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Information Systems Management, Network and Communications Management, Project Management, and Public Administration.
There are also Graduate Certificate Programs in thirteen fields, Business Administration, Financial Analysis, Health Services Management, Information Security, Project Management, and Wireless Communications.
All applicants must be at least 17 years old and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. They must also submit official transcripts.
Applicants are guaranteed admission if they meet any of the following educational criteria: an associates degree or higher; finishing in the top half of their high school or graduating class, or a minimum 2.7 cumulative grade point average and at least a B in a high school course of Algebra I or higher; or a grade point average of at least 2.0 at a postsecondary institution.
If an applicant does not meet one of these conditions, they can gain admission by submitting ACT or SAT scores approved by admission officials, or pass a placement test given by the university.
Financial Aid offers a number of grants, loans, and scholarships for student who need help paying their way through school. Students must go through a ten–step checklist and review said checklist with a student financial advisor.
A loan agreement must also be completed in order for a student to obtain financial aid. Students should begin the financial aid process by completing and submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid form, which can be done online.
DeVry has many campus locations throughout the United States, as well as an extensive online degree program. This particular campus is in Tinley Park, Illinois, about twenty miles south of the Chicago Loop. It is one of twelve locations in the Chicago area, with others in downtown Chicago, Addison, the Chicago Loop, O’Hare, Elgin, Gurnee, Lincolnshire, Naperville, Oak Brook, Schaumburg, and Merrillville, Indiana. Students can attend classes at any location; for instance, a student who works part–time could go to class near their home on one day, and near their place of employment on the next day.
The campus provides students with 11.6 acres worth of campus complete with laptop–ready access classrooms, as well as five hands–on technology labs. The university also has an extensive online learning program, giving a student with a busy work schedule even more flexibility.
DeVry University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association, www.ncahlc.org. Keller Graduate School of Management is included in this accreditation.
