Florida Career College, founded in 1992, is a vocational school with seven locations in southern and central Florida. Campuses in Hialeah, Pembroke Pines, Lauderdale Lake, and West Palm Beach are all in close proximity to the larger campus in Miami. The two campuses near Tampa, in Brandon and Clearwater, were acquired from the EduTech Centers in 2006.
Florida Career College also offers an extensive online learning program.
The college offers bachelor’s degrees in Health Information Management, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, and Accounting at all of its campuses except Clearwater. The Clearwater campus has no bachelor’s degrees, but does offer programs in Associate Health Insurance Billing and Coding, Professional Therapeutic Massage, and Medical Assistant.
Programs of study at Florida Career College include Communication, Computer Networking, Graphic Design, Health and Human Services, Information Technology, Management and Administration, Medical Assisting and Nursing, Medical and Dental Administration, Multimedia and Web Design, Photography and Photo Journalism, Science Technologies, and Visual Arts. In today’s high-tech world, some of the more popular diplomas at Florida Career College are Web Site Designer, Webmaster, and Computer Graphics and Animation.
Florida Career College also has allied health certifications in National Certified Medical Assistant, National Certified Medical Office Assistant, National Certified Phlebotomy Technician, National Certified ECG Technician, and National Certified Insurance and Coding Specialist.
The college is accredited by the Florida Commission for Independent Education and the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.
