Admissions

If you are interested in applying to Tucson College you can easily request information through their website. In order to begin the application process you must complete a scheduled interview and a tour with an Admission Representative. You must also submit a paper application, pay the admissions fee, and submit your transcript.

The interview is meant to be helpful. Your Admission Representative will discuss your experience and career goals with you to determine which program will be best for you. They will also answer any questions and concerns that you may have.

Once all of the required admission material has been submitted, reviewed, and it has been determined that you and Tucson College are a good match, you will receive an acceptance letter in the mail. The next steps will be attending new student orientation and signing up for classes, both of which the school will give you information on.

Financial Aid

Tucson College offers financial aid to students who qualify. Financial assistance opportunities are available through grants, loans, and for dependents of veterans. Completing the Free Application for Financial Aid (FAFSA) is highly encouraged for every applicant.

Students

Tucson College does not have a traditional campus so no students live on campus. The campus is located in a large, air-conditioned building with classrooms, medical labs, computer labs, the Dora Basurto Library, and the Learning Resource Center. The Resource Center has internet access available. A nearby, well-lit parking lot provides parking for students, whether they drive a car or ride a bike or a motorcycle. The campus is also accessible by bus. The enrollment is on the smaller side, with about 200 new students a year, the majority being female.

Tucson College focuses on putting their students first which is why they offer a variety of resources for their student body. By creating close relationships with their students, faculty and staff encourage their students to communicate openly with them about academic issues.

A large number of the students also hold jobs while attending classes. The Placement Department on campus aids students in finding part- or full-time positions that work around class schedules. Although these positions are not related to their future careers, the jobs will help students afford living expenses so that they can also attend school without extra financial worries.

Tutoring for students in a variety of classes is available from the Director of Education. These tutoring sessions are meant to supplement the classroom experience and keep students on the road to graduation.

The school’s location, in Tucson, Arizona, provides students with the advantages of city life while being surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges. Tucson is full of arts and culture in the form of museums, events, music, sports, performing arts, and more.
