Description of academic programs and degrees offered:

Associate Degree in Graphic Design (Online):

Students earning this two (2) year degree learn to develop solutions to design problems, create design mockups and present work to clients, design for different clients and audiences, control the fundamentals of design, use industry-standard software, and create professional print design projects.

Associate Degree in Web Design (Online):

Students in this two (2) year program learn how to identify the needs of different clients and audiences, manage the many stages of a Web site project, effectively plan and present Web sites, and use design fundamentals and industry-standard technology to create professional Web Sites.

Graphic Design Certificate Programs (Online):

Learn fundamental software techniques (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and challenge your design skills (color, typography, composition, and identity design) through hands-on projects.

Web Design Certificate Programs (Online):

Develop the software and technical skills to build standards-compliant Web sites. Challenge your design skills (color, typography, and Web graphics) through hands-on projects.

Multimedia Arts Certificate Programs (Online):

Get a fast start in digital imaging, vector animation, and digital video/motion graphics production. Develop the ability to create and develop and publish interactive or animated multimedia content on the Web.

Digital Arts Certificate Programs (Online)

Develop fundamental technical and creative skills in digital imaging, illustration, and photography. Gain confidence in aesthetics, drawing, and photography, and expertise in creating bitmap and vector artwork.

Marketing Design Certificate Programs (Online):

Learn fundamental software techniques (Photoshop, Illustrator, and Powerpoint) and challenge your design skills (color, typography, composition, and identity design) through hands-on projects.

Fine Arts Certificate Program (Online):

The Sessions Fine Arts Certificate program provides students with a foundation in art theory and technique. Core theory courses build a vocabulary in the visual arts, exploring the purpose and methodology of art-making. Drawing classes instill a rigorous, traditional approach to representing still life and human figure subjects with attention to critical concepts of line, mass, form perspective, value, and composition.

Game Art Certificate Program (Online):

The Game Art Professional Certificate program provides students with a foundation in 3D modeling, imaging, and animation for video games. Core courses explore the challenges of modeling, texturing, and animating 3D characters and environments using Autodesk Maya and Photoshop. Elective courses provide an array of options for development in game art, game design, as well as digital art, fine arts, and design.
