Located in Eunice, Louisiana, Louisiana State University was founded in 1964 by the Louisiana State Legislature. Designed to serve students in and around southwest Louisiana, LSU Eunice offers a wide variety of courses, as well as diploma and associate degree awarding programs. With the many options for areas of study and easily transferrable, accredited programs offered, students may choose from hundreds of academic, vocational and career possibilities at LSU Eunice. In order to provide maximum convenience, students at LSU Eunice may also take classes at the Alexandria campus.
Some of the programs offered include associate degree programs in the arts, science, general studies, computer information technology, management, criminal justice, care & development of young children, fire and emergency services, nursing, office information systems, paralegal studies, respiratory care and radiologic technology. Students may also elect technical diploma and certificate awarding programs in areas like fire science technology, evidence recovery technology, hospitality tourism management, crime scene management, quality environmental health safety leadership technology, and diagnostic medical sonography. Additional technical competency areas include medical billing, coding and transcription, hospitality supervision, geographical information systems and more.
